In 2014 a letter of support and encouragement of the UNITWIN Chair programme was sent to Director-General Ms Irina Bokova. In it we referred to our building an e-Campus – a repository of cost-free, quality, science-based teacher training materials and endorsed this important evaluation procedure:
“We welcome the initiative of Professor Heikki Lyytinen whose university is to Chair the project he is putting forward. It aims to plan, develop, assess at every stage and create new technological solutions to address literacy and, in addition, with a network of universities, identify a framework for learning analytics whereby to evaluate the efficacy of training, teaching and learning online.
The outcome of these scientific explorations and systematic evaluation procedures assembled by world experts in literacy – teaching and learning – will be published.”
