Dyslexia International organized a second webinar with 10 countries on illiteracy in the prison populaiton hosted by Microsoft School Technology Innovation Center. With professors Elena Grigorenko and Linda Siegel, and experts Marion Walker and Melanie Jameson.

A massive open online course (‘MOOC’), co-produced with the University of London, called Supporting children with difficulties in reading and writing, launched on the world-wide Coursera platform. Achieved 16,700 enrolments in two months and numerous plaudits. Instructors were Dr Jenny Thomson of the University of Sheffield, UK, and Dr Vincent Goetry of the Universities of Brussels and Mons, Belgium.
An online version in Portuguese of our own original course was produced by Professor Angela Pinheiro of the University of Mina Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
The second World Dyslexia Forum was organized in the same city by Professor Pinheiro.
The MOOC was revised and relaunched to great acclaim.
An online course in Spanish was produced by Maria Laura Scasso, a teacher and translator in Buenos Aires, Brazil, and her team. It was so successful that she had to launch it for a second time within two months.
